ETAP - Advancing Sustainability Through Continuous Intelligence: An Interview with Drakenstein, Utility Project in South Africa
ETAP and Altek collaborated to develop a unified electrical digital twin platform for a municipality that integrates new and legacy technologies. The platform not only optimized the municipality's network but also enhanced customer relations by reducing outage times. The phased approach to digitalization, which involved customer participation and utilized existing infrastructure, was crucial to the system's success. This approach enabled the customer to discover various ways to use the system for network diagnostics and strengthening, beyond the capabilities of traditional SCADA. The result has been an industry-disrupting technology that elevates traditional SCADA to unprecedented levels.
